Highlights

Market Harborough became the first Leicestershire club to play in a cup final – the Wellingborough & District Football Association Challenge Cup. They lost 4-0.

Leicester Fosse played their first-ever game – against Syston Fosse – in November.

East Midland Counties Football Association was founded.

Leicester FC (Tigers) played matches under both Association and Rugby rules.

Hugglescote Robin Hood FC agreed to adopt the “off-side rule” – ending the dominance of Sheffield Rules in the north of the county.
